Alvar Umb is a jewelry artist from Kihnu who graduated from the Viljandi Academy of Culture, specializing in national metalwork, jewelry direction. Alvar is interested in both traditional and contemporary jewelry culture. During his studies, he became increasingly interested in how to address themes related to heritage culture through jewelry in a way that would clearly convey the connection to heritage, but would have a contemporary effect.
